craft studio 8- spring tulips

We decided that we finally need some spring. Here it is:

Here is how we did it: I took an egg carton and cut out tulip forms with a scalpel. That was a lot easier than expected. They looked like this:

Than we met and the kids had to paint them. It was finger paint, but my model doesn’t like to get her hands dirty….

Her friend didn’t seem to mind:

We let it dry for a while and after a few hours I made a hole in every blossom and connected a straw. This is the result:

And they even feel good…

and smell good!

  2. How did you attach the straw please? (We have tried a few craft projects from your blog and love them. The cotton pad caterpillar was a favourite).

    • Hi there! We just punched a hole and sticked it in. No glue or such like.
